April 13, 2015 - Millard West High School student Grant Ray visited Thrasher on Monday afternoon as part of an academic program focusing on engineering systems; specifically hydraulics.
Grant toured the Thrasher facility alongside Dan Thrasher, our President, asking questions about hydraulics - how they work, how Thrasher uses them to tackle projects, and to learn the differences between various hydraulic systems. Conversation ranged to include excavation equipment, lifting cylinders, rotary drive motors, and the differences between gear pumps and piston pumps. Grant plans to take this knowledge back to the classroom to share with his classmates.
Providing education to our customers is part of the Thrasher mission, and we feel privileged to share our industry knowledge with the next generation of engineers.
