Thrasher offers many options to our customer when it comes to finishing your basement. You can choose between state of the art technologies that will last forever, or you can choose a more traditional approach. Even with the more traditional approach we will do things to help get you the best results and prevent damage from moisture.
Best Option: The Everlast Basement Wall System
This basement finishing system is the best for customers that want:
No Maintenance - the walls never need to be painted or repainted. The durable vinyl surface is washable, and even pen ink comes off easily. Water will not damage these from getting to the finished space.
Energy Efficient - R13 insulation is provided by our SilverGlo Insulation and its built-in vapor barrier prevents moisture from getting to the finished space.
50 Year Warranty - the walls won't dent like drywall. When kids bang drywall surface, it dents easily. You have to get out the spackle, apply a few coats then repaint the wall.
Waterproof - the walls and trim will not be damaged by water no matter where the water comes from. Mold growth is not a concern.
Semi-Modular - if you need access to plumbing or anything behind the walls it is easy to get access without doing damage to the finish.
The Alternative: Traditional basement finishing with a modern twist.
This option is best for customers who insist on a more traditional look, but still want protection from the most common basement problems.
Paintable - these walls are painted like traditional walls. This give you many options with color, but will require some maintenance just like a traditional finish.
Energy Efficient - R13 insulation is provided by our SilverGlo Insulation and its built-in vapor barrier prevents moisture from getting to the finished space.
Waterproof - the bottom two feet of the walls and the trim will not be damaged by water. When a flood occurs the seams have to be redone and painted, but no tear out is required.
