Is your system prepared to keep your basement dry this spring? Was it painful to stay up in the early hours of the morning using your shop-vac to soak up the water that never stopped coming in?
This is a reminder to all our customers to be ready for that unexpected shower. At Thrasher Basement Systems we encourage our customers to have an annual inspection on their system. Mostly, to make sure that their investment with our product is still in good operating condition.
We have a team of professional technicians that will meet you at your home. Most of these maintenances take up to two hours. They will sit down with you and go into detail of what they have planned for your inspection. The technician will check your pump and make sure it is working by running water through the system. If your waterproofing system has any debris in it, they will even washout the system to prevent any blockage. It is important to also check the rest of the basement, on the inside and outside. All our technicians are trained to check your property to prevent further damage. There have been times when our technicians have found problems and have had the opportunity to fix them before they caused more problems. What we have found from customers that have missed the opportunity to have their system checked is more water in their basement due to the pump not working. Missing a maintenance cost them more money to get there basement dry again.
I have been a service technician since 2008. I have walked into to homes with wet basements where the pump was not working, when a simple inspection would have prevented the problem.
