The week of April 11th, Thrasher crew leaders, Jon Neuvirth and Mike Malotky, as well as Production Manager, Aaron Ruskamp, traveled to Tampa, Florida for extensive training on our newest product offering, shotcrete. Shotcrete is mortar or concrete that is applied as a spray, through a high-pressure hose and application nozzle. In the hands of a skilled operator, shotcrete offers the versatility to construct, repair and reinforce walls, bridges, tunnels, channels and other structural elements. Thrasher representatives received training from Ray Schallom, a shotcrete expert who has been in the business for over 30 years.
Training included spraying and finishing techniques, as well as learning about chemical additives that can be used to create a stronger, more effective concrete product. This was an opportunity for Thrasher to perfect our skills and learn about the newest and best technologies within the industry. Another added experience included meeting and observing other dealers who are working with this product. This was a unique opportunity for Thrasher to observe our fellow dealers in their own environment and learn from their experiences.
Shotcrete is an especially noteworthy innovation in concrete technology and Thrasher is excited to add this to our list of services in an effort to assist our customers with their basement needs.
