On Sunday, September 19, 2010 several employees from the Thrasher Basement Systems/Foundation Supportworks Omaha Team participated in the Omaha Corporate Cup. Since the company did not sponsor a team this year, these employees took the initiative to register themselves as a community team to support the cause of the American Lung Association and enjoy a morning run! This is just more evidence of what great employees we have. The team was primarily made up of FSI (Thrasher's sister company) employees and members included Kyle Olson, Jeff Kortan, Ray Brown, Curt Drew, Jenn Burch and Jenn's son, Hunter. Jenn and Hunter completed the 2-mile course while the remaining participants ran the 10K.
The Corporate Cup is one of the premier running events in the nation and among the largest of corporate road races in the United States. The Corporate Cup's unique character - businesses and their employees coming together to have fun and fight lung disease - is the basis for its success. The Omaha Corporate Cup raises funds and awareness to support education, research and advocacy programs so everyone can breathe easier. Participants attend the Corporate Cup to support issues critical to family health - improving air quality, eliminating lung disease and keeping kids tobacco free.
